Nevertheless, there is a chemistry here between them in their scenes together that is undeniable, a testament to Pleshette's professionalism. Pleshette's character is drawn believably, uncertain and comically browbeaten by the mother she's forced to live with. Columbo's prime suspect in the case of a drowned yacht magnate also turns up dead. Suzanne Pleshette is quite convincing portraying a very rare character of the series who witnesses a murder.
